Our Mission at Abre Novus

We at Abre Novus are dedicated to assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to be more independent and successful. We are an OPWDD Authorized Self-Direction Broker whose staff members provide individualized and integrated services to Self-Direction participants. Our primary aim is to facilitate individuals in creating tailored budgets and plans that meet their specific needs, goals, and aspirations. Using a Person-Centered Planning model, we ensure these plans are both realistic and meaningful, and support each member in his or her concept of independence.

Headquartered in New York City, we take pride in serving Long Island, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley. We also offer Certified IDD Housing Navigator services that provide stability and foster long-term success. Through utilizing our network of reputable Direct Support Professionals, including Community Habilitation Specialists, Respite Workers, Job Coaches, and Job Developers, Abre Novus forges strong support systems that foster independence, dignity, and inclusion throughout one’s life.
